The Ugandan performed best in the defensive pairing of him and Bilal Duckett who was substituted for Luke Waechter in the 75th minute.

Steel FC got the first good chance of the game in the 12th minute when Santi Moar broke into the left side of the penalty area and cut inside past his defender, but Mizell parried the ball away, allowing Charlotte to clear.

In the 33rd minute Enzo Martinez threaded a shot into the bottom-left corner of the net for his 13th goal of the season, the only goal of the game.

Cody Mizell recorded a seven-save shutout for Charlotte, as the team remained top of the Eastern Conference, moving to 5-0-1.
