
Desperate times have at most called and demanded for imminent desperate measures.
By the close of business for the 2016/17 premier season, Kirinya-Jinja S.S.S football club was one of those teams that had a couple of ‘sleepless nights’ as they bravely battled relegation.
Now, in a bid to beef up their squad and plan early, recruitment of playing staff has been given a top priority.
As you assimilate the aforementioned, the club has ‘crossed the boarders’ and hired two Cameroonians imports albeit inexperienced crops.
Landry Makon Ngombe Ghislaine, 23 and Bertrand Ebode Ottou, 19 are the hot prospects at the club now coached by Charles Ayiekho Lukula who took over from Abbey ‘Capello’ Bogere Kikomeko.
Ngombe is a central midfielder and his compatriot Ottou is a defender cum defensive shield midfielder from two lower division Cameroon sides Savana and Master Sport Company Academy respectively.

Head coach Ayiekho is optimistic that the two journeymen have a special and unique ingredient to add to the side which narrowly survived the relegation knife last season.
They are good players that give us the options in defence and midfield.
Given their unquestionable work rate, technique and physicality, they will definitely add something to the club
Although the status of their work permits and the International Transfer Certificates (ITC’s) remain muted and unknown at large, the two players are actively getting involved in the club’s pre-season preparations.
FUFA Competitions director Ali Mwebe confirms that the club has not officially submitted their ITC’s for the duo.
We have not yet officially heard from them (Kirinya-Jinja S.S football club) concerning ITC’s for the said players. We shall keep waiting because there is some time left.
For starters, the ITC is only issued by the mother federation to the receipt federation where the playing are transferring to.
Kirinya Jinja S.S trains at Jinja secondary school play ground and have confirmed that they will host their home matches at the Kyabazinga stadium in the populous Bugembe suburb, on the outskirts of the historical Jinja town.
The new season is ear marked to commence early next month.
