Newly promoted Uganda Premier League outfit Masavu Football Club has named Alex Mulibanga Gitta and former Uganda Cranes midfielder Joseph Mutyaba as their coaches.
The development was confirmed by the new club owner Anthony Kimuli, who was the FUFA Treasurer during the Lawrence Mulindwa epoch.
Gitta and Mutyaba have immediately commenced duties at the lake side Bugonga Fisheries Institute playground.
Masavu was disposed off by the old owner, Tonny Ssozi for a reported a fee of Shs.90M.
Kimuli first hired former Uganda Cranes international Alex Isabirye who had dumped his Soana job over disagreements regarding payments.
Just a week after starting work, Isabirye shocked everyone when he departed citing unpalatable working conditions at the club.
New coach Gitta, who has also been working as Technical Director during the club’s epoch in the Big League promises to serve above self;
“We are re-building. We need a couple of players and sort out a few things here and there. We shall be ready in the next fortnight after playing some friendly matches,” Gitta told Kawowo Sports.
Masasvu was promoted alongside Maroons and Mbarara City from the second tier league, FUFA Big League.
