Weatherhead [M] will go top of the National Hockey League table on Saturday with victory over bottom side Rockets.

The match will see the bottom side desperately attempt to scrap a win while Vincent Kasasa’s charges will bid to assume the summit.

Having drawn 3-3 with current table leaders Kampala Hockey Club Stallions last weekend and with Bernard Bwire’s charges not in action until Sunday, Kasasa and his boys will look to go top of the league for at least 24 hours.

The last time the two sides met, Weatherhead came out victors in a hotly contested match, with Benon Lukyamuzi scoring the winning goal.

In that game, player-coach Kasasa put Weatherhead in front before Shafiq Muleme restoring parity, but Lukyamuzi who had prior that game not scored this term snatched all the three points for his side.

Weatherhead will see this as an opportunity to go top for the first time this season.

Rockets meanwhile are still searching for their first points of the season. The side has lost all their games. A draw tomorrow will be seen as a great result.

Rockets sit bottom of the table with no point.
