
Uganda Premier League side, Soana Football Club has completed the signing of robust forward Anthony ‘Cassano’ Bongole.
The former Uganda U-23 and senior national team player signed the employment contract with Smart Obed’s owned side on Thursday.
According to the club director Obed, Bongole’s arrival to the side will play a great role in lifting up the young players.
“We need such experienced players on the team because they help young players grow and mature,” Obed reasons.
Bongole was deemed as excess baggage by Police F.C at the end of the 2016/17 season.
The former KCCA, Proline fast paced and direct forward joins former Lweza captain, Swaibu Mudde, Mike Kawooya (Jinja S.S), Faruku Kawooya (Express), Dalawusi Kiwalabye (free agent), Muwadda Mawejje (rejoined the club) and former Kirinya Jinja S.S goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa, all who have already inked deals at the club.

Soana released striker Frank Kalanda, veteran winger Dan Wagaluka, Patrick ‘Crespo’ Asiku, Ahmed ‘Ndiefi’ Ssebagala, Nasir Mbabali (loan from Vipers ended) and goalkeeper Muhammed Didi.
Meanwhile, the club is in Western Uganda for the friendly match with a Fort Portal select team.
