Coach Abdallah Mubiru has been in the market for a right back and believes Bigala will be good value.

“He is a great addition to the team,” said Mubiru. “He comes with a lot of experience which is good,” he added.

Bigala has been a pillar of the Proline team for over five years now and also worked with Mubiru during the latter’s tenure as tactician at the club.

He joins former teammates Rahmat Ssenfuka and Gift Ali at the 2005 champions and becomes the eleventh new signing at Kibuli based side that looks to avoid a repeat of average performances last season that saw them nearly relegated.

KCCA test

Meanwhile, Police will continue their pre-season preparations with a trial game against reigning champions KCCA on Tuesday at Lugogo.

The Cops lost 3-0 to the Kasasiro at Lugogo last season but rallied to snatch a point in the reverse fixture at Namboole despite going 2-0 down.

They also narrowly lost to KCCA in the Uganda Cup quarter finals – 2-1 in extra time after they missed a penalty through Ssenfuka.
