- Doves FC 1-1 KCCA F.C

Kitara Regional League outfit Doves FC held the reigning Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC to a 1-1 draw at Boma playground in Masindi.
Murushid Mugwanya lit up this pre-season friendly with the game’s opener in the 15th minute of the well-attended match as the opening half ended 1-0.
U-17 KCCA graduate player Noel Nasasira found the equalizer 5 minutes after the restart of the game as the two sides shared the spoils much to the delight of the crowd.
Doves F.C were winners of the Kitara region Albertine Group in the Zonal Mini League to get promoted to the 3rd division league.

According to the club head coach Hesborn Mundia, the friendly against the league reigning champions gave his players the much needed confidence ahead of the new season.
Mundia, a former player in the Ugandan top flight with Kinyara and SC Villa, expressed his delight;
We are excited to host KCCA in Masindi. This match was purposeful in a way that it has given my players confidence ahead of our own Regional League.
I am pretty much optimistic that the new season will go well for us.
This was yet another KCCA’s up country friendly match after earlier visits in Mubende and Busia. Like in Masindi, KCCA was held in Busia (1-1) and Mubende (0-0).
The 12 time league champions are preparing for the start of the 2017-18 season.
The Kasasiro lads will kick off with the Super Cup duel against SC Villa on the 8th September, 2017 at a venue yet to be confirmed by the FUFA Competitions director, Ali Mwebe.
