Uganda Cranes striker Emmanuel Arnold Okwi scored in the penalty shootout as Simba edged rivals Yanga 5-4 on penalties to lift the Tanzania Shield.

In an entertaining match played at the National stadium, Dar es Salaam, neither team managed to break the deadlock as they remained locked at goalless after 90 minutes.

Okwi who nearly came to scoring the winner for the Msimbazi however made no mistake in the shootout.

Former Azam FC goalkeeper Aishi Manula was the hero for the Red Half of Dar es Salaam saving from Kevin Yondan despite failure to keep Papy Kabamba Tshishimbi, Zambian Thabani Kamusoko, Donald Ngoma and Ibrahim Hajib efforts.

Simba scored their efforts through Method Mwanjali, Emmanuel Okwi, Rwandan singer, Haruna Niyonzima, Shiza Kichuya and Mohammed Ibrahim ‘Mo’
