The 2017 COSAFA Women’s Championship is set to assemble biggest ever field of teams in September.

The competition to be hosted in Zimbabwe for the third time will be played across two venues in Bulawayo, Barbourfields Stadium and Luveve Stadium, getting underway on September 13.
12 teams competing this year have been placed in Group A, B and C.
Zimbabwe are the defending championships having won the last tournament played on home soil in 2011.
South Africa claimed the top honours in 2002, 2006 and 2008 will battle Namibia, Lesotho and Botswana in group C.
Zimbabwe have been drawn alongside old rivals Zambia, Madagascar and Malawi in group A.
According to CAf, “the teams will play each other in a round-robin format with the pool winners and best-placed runner-up advancing to the semifinals, which will be played on September 21.
“The final will be played three days later on September 24, with the bronze-medal game played the day before.”
