Newly promoted Uganda Premier League outfit Masavu Football Club has named Muzafaru Ssebagala as their Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Ssebagala, born and bred in Kiwafu, Entebbe, previously worked as the Buganda Region Football Association CEO.

In an exclusive interview, he reveals the value of the assignments at hand and the quick rush against time to get the work tasks rolling.

He is one of the officials who are set to complete the Football Administration and Management Course (FAMACO) at FUFA House in Mengo, Kampala.

He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the league new comers who were promoted alongside Maroons and Mbarara City from the FUFA Big League.

Ssebagala takes over the role from Allan Ggayi who was not retained after the club changed ownership.

Technical staff

They have recruited coaches Alex Gitta and Joseph Mutyaba as head and assistant tacticians respectively.

Gitta was previously serving as Technical Director when the club was still in the Big League with Allan Kabonge the head coach.

The club is believed to be closing in on Edward Jjingo as team manager and Muhammed ‘Kagisa’ Mugisha will be the overall operations manager.

When the league kicks off on 12th September 2017, Masavu will host Police at Bugonga stadium.

Currently, the Bugonga stadium is undergoing renovations with the playing surface, dressing rooms and perimeter wall fencing being given special attention.
