With a couple of weeks to the opening week of the 2017-18 Uganda Premier League season, URA FC have confirmed change of venue.

The former champions have hosted their games at Mehta Grounds, Lugazi since 2012 but are now back at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

This was confirmed by the club on its official portal and they revealed why they made the change.

“URA FC’s plans to play home matches at Mandela National Stadium have been finalized after the stadium management granted authority to the club to use their facilities for the home matches….” reads part of the statement.

This move came after concerns by the Uganda Football Licensing Board over about the status the pitch that URA FC has been using. URA FC is a compliant institution to both domestic and international policies and regulations governing the management of football as a sporting activity.

The Tax collectors open their campaign with a home tie against UPDF at the venue on Wednesday 13th September, 2017 at 4:00pm.

Police FC is the other side in the top tier league that host their games at the facility.
