Gomba qualified for the final after defeating the defending champions Buddu in a thrilling and dramatic semi-final game that ended in penalty shootouts at a fully packed Masaka Recreational Stadium.

Three time winners Gomba (champions in 2004, 2009 and 2014) won 1-0 on the day taking the aggregate scoreline to 1-1. In the tense shoot out, Gomba triumphed 4-3.

Singo who have won the exciting tourney once in 2015 defeated opponents Busiro 1-0 in the first leg and registered a 1-1 draw in the second leg, automatically pushing them into the finals after a 2-1 aggregate win.
