Togo Captain Emmanuel Adebayor has signed a three year deal to extend his stay in Turkey with Istanbul Basaksehir.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City centre forward was key in the club’s success last season scoring 12 goals despite joining in January helping the club to second place in the Turkish Super League.
“I’m very excited to announce that we’ll be extending our journey together. Special thanks to everyone that is part of the Istanbul Basaksehir,” Adebayor posted on social media.
Adebayor was without a club for over six months but got the Turkish deal in January after a good show with his national team in Gabon for the Africa Cup of Nations.
He has also previously played for Monaco and Manchester City among other top European clubs.
