National team players Roger Mukasa and Charles Waiswa flew to India on Friday night, part of Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association.

NPCA XI is travelling to participate in Sir Vizzy Memorial Invitational Tournament in Andhra, India from August 28th to September 18th.
It’s a four day tournament that will consist of total eight teams divided into two groups.
The opportunity came as result of their good performances for their Kenyan side Stray Lions in the Kenyan league.
The NPCA Xi is made up of the best players in the national Kenyan league during the 2016/17 season, the team is led by the experienced Maurice Ouma.
Speaking from their Indian base Charles Waiswa was delighted by the opportunity,
It’s a huge opportunity to leave a mark on this big stage who knows who will be watching maybe an opportunity to have a crack at the IPL might show up God willing.
Local players have been lacking such opportunities to play against the best and this opportunity can open doors for other players.
