Egypt giants Zamalek have named Nebojsa Jovovic as their new coach on a two-year deal.
The Montenegrin replaces Portuguese Augusto Inacio who quit the position last month after less than a year in charge.
Jovovic impressed Zamalek officials during the recently concluded Arab Champions Cup guiding Jordan’s Faisaly to runners up and on two occasions en route to the feat beat Al Ahly, Zamalek’s rivals.
The side aims at reclaiming the Egypt league title after finishing last season 21 points behind winners Al Ahly.
Zamalek have hired a record 15 coaches in the previous three years including Alex McLeish and Hossam Hassan among others.
