The reigning Uganda Premier League champions are on the brink of adding midfielder Allan Kateregga to their ranks.
Katerega’s impending arrival at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo has been confirmed by manager Mike Mutebi.
“We expect to have him (Kateregga) here before closure of the weekend,” Mutebi confirmed.
The former SC Victoria University and Thika United player now at Kenya’s AFC Leopards fell out with authorities at the den thus hasn’t featured as much in the ongoing KPL.
“His arrival will bring competition in the number 10 area where we have Allan Okello and Jackson Nunda at the moment,” said Mutebi.
Tasked to reveal why the club would have so many similar players in same positions, Mutebi said.
“A big club like us must have three good players in each position which are targeting.”
Like Nunda and Okello, Kateregga has a sweet left foot and can play not only as a number ten but also wide on the left side of attacking midfield.
