Uganda Netball Cranes captain Peace Proscovia’s star status is shining bright.
The Loughborough Lightening goal shooter was named the Most Valuable Player in the English netball top flight league during the Goalden Globe Awards to reward the best performers of the Vitality Super League.
After an amazing 812 goals in the entire season, Peace guided Loughborough Lightening to a second place finish in the league.
She won the Gilbert Goalden Shot of the Year Award following a largely successful season that witnessed her captain Uganda She Cranes to the African title and as well finishing top scorer.
Above all, Peace was named on the All Star best 7 team of the Year alongside Briton Kathryn Turner, New Zealand’s Liana Leota, South African Msomi Bongiwe, British nationals Beth Cobden, Layla Guscoth and Jamaican Aiken Pinnock.
The 6 feet tall goal scorer has received showers of praise from the netball fraternity world over, fans and her own club.
She is grateful for the support and love accorded throughout her career;
“I am happy to have won these titles. It is down to hard work and commitment. I also thank my teammates,” Peace told Kawowo Sports.
