- UPDF 1-0 Express

UPDF outwitted Express Football Club 1-0 during match day three of the Uganda Premier League at the Bombo Military stadium on Saturday.
Ezekiel Katende scored the lone strike of the game two minutes into the second half.
This was the first victory of the season for the army side coached by Moses Basena, also the Uganda Cranes’ head coach.
For Express, this was their second successive loss on the road following their 1-0 loss to Mbarara at the Kakyeka stadium.
The victory drives UPDF to 6th on the log with 4 points.
Douglas Bamwenyana marked his second loss at the Red Army side, following the sudden and shocking resignation of Mathias Lule.
The Red Eagles are now 2nd from bottom with just a single point earned on the opening day of the season againt Kirinya-Jinja SS.
Meanwhile, in the other games played on Saturday, Tom Masiko won the game for Vipers at home against SC Villa while Kirinya-Jinja S.S and BUL played to a one-all draw at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe.
The league takes a two day break and will return on Tuesday with three games.
