
Striker Mahadi Mahrez Kayondo has completed his transfer to South African second division club, Durban F.C.
The move was confirmed on Monday following the issuance of an International Transfer Certificate (ITC) by Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to their South African FA body.
Kayondo put pen to paper for a three year deal with his work permit as PRT 27533/2017/TRVC.
His immediate mission at hand is to inspire the club to the top flight.
In an exclusive interview with Kawowo Sports on Tuesday, Kayondo, who has been featuring at another South African lower tier club, Juventus Academy expressed his desire to play his heart out for the new employers.

I am fit and ready to join the family of Durban Football Club as we work as one unit to join the top flight league
According to the club general manager, Gian Chidoni, the reasons among others that they zeroed on the skilled Ugandan was to help inspire many young players at the club.
Kayondo is very talented and his expertise will greatly help inspire many youngsters at the club. Also, he is a specialist in his field. This is a big asset.
Above all, he is a dedicated player and a leader.
He will be of great importance to the club
Kayondo previously played at Ndejje University before he left for greener pastures in Swaziland where he played at Green Mmamba F.C.
After playing in Swaziland for a year, he crossed over to South Africa and played at Juventus Academy for one season before Durban tapped him.
Kayondo’s two year tenure at the club will expire on 30th June 2019 with a provision to extend the move once the top management is impressed by his overall performance.
He is set to play his debut at the club in the Ned-Bank qualifier against Ashery United this Wednesday.

Durban Football Club is based in the city of Durban. They are nick named the Durbanites with a vivid motto “Ketha Impumelelo” literally translated “Success is a choice”.
The club was formerly called Blackburn Rivers before changing to Eastern Cape and finally Durban F.C.
They currently feature in the ABC Motsepe league (second tier division) with professor Ngubane as their head coach.
Durban F.C hosts their home matches at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Cleremont.
