Express FC earned their first victory of the season with a 2-0 win over Maroons at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

Daniel Mzee Sserunkuma and David Ndihabwe scored in the first and second half respectively.

The first goal came after 13 minutes when Sserunkuma received a ball a few yards into the opponents half and his ambitious shot found goalie Emmanuel Akol off his line to send the Red Eagles fans into frenzy.

There was little to write about until the second half when Ndihabwe doubled the lead with a headed effort off Ronnie Kisekka cross from the left with eight minutes to the final whistle.

It was the first time this season that the 6-time champions scored and also won as they move to four points and rise from the bottom of the log to 11th on the table.

Asaph Mwebaze’s Maroons remains the only side in the league yet to win a game after fourth round and are bottom of the log with just two points.
