Seven teams will compete for silverware in the ladies’ category of the Zone V Club Championship that tips off Sunday October 1 in Kampala.
KCCA Leopards and UCU Lady Canons will be competing with opposition from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Somalia.
Kenyan giants Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) are the defending champions having won the championship held in Dar es Salaam last year.
The two Ugandan outfits struggled in the previous edition and will have a chance to impress on home soil.
The teams will compete in a round robin format.
KCCA warmed up for the tournament with a 62-61 win over their rivals UCU Lady Canons on Friday night.
Ladies’ Teams: UCU Lady Canons, KCCA Leopards, Equity (Kenya), KPA (Kenya), Don Bosco (Tanzania), APR (Rwanda) and Horseed (Somalia).
