Ibrahim Sekagya has revealed why he isn’t part of the national team technical staff ahead of the must win 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana.

The former Uganda Cranes skipper was named as part of the interim technical staff for the national team since Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic left and was available for the back to back games against Egypt.

He was expected to return for the clash against the Black Stars but due to a tight work schedule, he says he won’t make it.

“Due to my tight work schedule, I couldn’t make it for the Cranes Vs Ghana technical boost as earlier planned….” His post partly read on Facebook. “I hope to be part of you in some other games,” he added.

The New York Red Bulls II Assistant coach however wished the team all the best come Saturday.

“However, I would like to wish the boys (Our Dream Team, the Cranes) and the entire Technical crew the very best of Luck.

“We strongly believe in you and you have all our support.

“Tulumbe Na Mutima.”

Uganda can qualify for the World Cup in Russia if they beat Ghana and Congo Brazzaville and hope that Egypt falters in one of their games.
