After triumphing at the 2017 CSK Squash Championship in Rwanda, Uganda top seeded player Mike Kawooya is focused for more glory.
Kawooya added the CSK title to his already rich trophy cabinet when he won majestically in Rwanda.
At least 30 players took part in the championship held at the Cercle Sportif De Kigali, attracting the region’s finest players.
Upon return from Kigali, Kawooya disclosed to Kawowo Sports;

The Ugandan top seed overcame Rwanda’s best player Christian Hambiana 3-0 in nail biting fashion winning 9-11, 10-12 and 8 -11.

He traveled to Kigali by road to and from and has been since lauded by the  president of Uganda Squash Rackets Association John Bosco Tamwesigire.

His Kigali success had followed a semi final finish at the 22nd Squash Junkies in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands he overcame five players Pasqude Ruzicka, Guld Ploem, Marc Lehmann, Marc Ploem and Mike Gaede before bowing out in the semifinals.

Focus for the Ugandan number one turns to the Nakuru Open international tournament that will take place at the Rift Valley Sports Club in Nakuru, Western Kenya starting 10th to 12th November 2017.

Other tournaments in the pipeline include the Parklands Open International, Kenya Open International in Uhuru Open International (December) as well the Fitlink Open International in Belgium come January 2018.
