URA’s Ibrahim Kirya was left a relieved man following his side’s 4-0 thumping of Bul on Tuesday at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
The tax collectors were one of the only two sides in the league that secured victory in their opening game this season, but had gone four games without seeing victory and had not scored a goal in that period.
However, on Tuesday, goals from Charles Sempa, Henry Kiseka, Ajab Abdulrahman and Ronald Kigongo returned the side to winning ways.
“I’m very happy with the result, we scored and didn’t concede any something we had failed to do,” Kirya said. “We’ve been conceding one or two goals without scoring, but we managed to turn the tables around today.
“The pressure was increasing each passing day but God was on our side today and we got a great result. We created chances, converted them easily and came out with four goals. We are going to build on this win for our next games starting with our away game at Bright Stars.”
The win elevated Kirya’s team to the sixth position in the league.
Next up for URA is a trip to Matugga for a date with Bright Stars on Tuesday next week.
