Although the Africa Rally Championship title is almost done and dusted by Kenya’s Manvir Baryan, there is still plenty of reasons to get hooked on the Gomes Pembe Zambia International Rally as the season closes down this weekend.

The two-day event is anticipated to exhibit some thrilling action of different battle line.

The battle for the ARC third place

Kleevan Gomes, Christakis Fitidis and Giancarlo Davite will go neck to neck for the Africa Rally Championship third position overall.

Kleevan currently holds the position, but whoever will finish ahead of the other this weekend, will claim the position.

A mega event win battle

Another battle to watch out for. Who will join the list of Zambia Rally winners?

Jassy Singh is the defending winner of the Zambia Rally. He will definitely focus on retaining his win. However, the local crews are expected to make it hard for him as they aim for the same spot.

Further still, the foreign crews are also expected to edge the local drivers in their home event to the win.

Muna Singh Sr and Christakis Fitidis’ battle

The two legends spiced up their competition by entering into a bet. Whoever finishes ahead of the other will buy dinner for the team.

Fitidis will driver Mitsubishi Evo X while Muna in Mitsubishi Evo 9.

Spectacular action guaranteed

With the way routes are described by crews, they depict a tight race ahead.

The routes are so twisty, fast and short. They will put several drivers to test as they expose off their skills.

Meanwhile, the two day event will cover total competitive distance of 183.80 kilometres.
