KICC had a poor run in the T20 league finishing bottom of the 6 team log but seem to have found renewed energy for the 50 Over League after picking up 2 wins in as many games so far.
In a 6 team competition each team can only play a maximum of 5 games and with the threat of relegation looming KICC need at least one more win to survive the drop.
Their opponents on Saturday Tornado B will need help as they have lost both their opening games and are quickly running out of games to not only survive the drop but also save themselves from relegation.
Tornado B the defending champions are rooted at the bottom of the table after losing to Wanderers in their opening game and last weekend to KICC.
This weekend Maureen Thawitemwira was the star for KICC putting in a match winning all round performance scoring 24 valuable runs and picking up 3 wickets.
Home team Jinja SS denied Olila High a win on the road defeating them by 4 wickets in a low scoring game. African MVP Gertrude Chandiru failed to inspire her side but her national team counterparts Rita Musamali and Stephanie Nampiina were instrumental in helping the Jinja based team defeat t20 winners Olila High.
It’s an open contest in the 50 over league. Only KICC has won twice and lost none, while Wanderers and Olila High have a won a single game and lost one as well.
Tornado B is in early trouble as they have lost to Wanderers and KICC and they now have 3 hard games left against Jinja SS, Pioneer and Olila High and will need to win all to at least survive the drop.

In the only Division 2 contest, School MVP Immaculate Nakisuyi helped her Masaka SS team defeat Charity by 62 runs.
Nakisuyi top scored for her team with 53 runs and picked up with 3 wickets with ball in hand.
Masaka SS will now play in the top flight next season and the Aziz Damani powered team can’t be caught now by any of their competition.
