When Jinja based outfit Bul Football Club entertains Express “square pass”, the duel will be dubbed as a battle of wounded lions.

Reason; both clubs fell in their immediate past league encounters on Match Day 6.

The Red Eagles lost 2-1 to Onduparaka at the once intimidating Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku while BUL lost 4-0 to URA at Mandela National Stadium.

As a former player at Express, current BUL head coach Kefa Kisala was adored, worshiped and respected for his magic left foot and diligent service to the club over the years.

Kisala faces a club that babysat him but he will have no soft feelings for them given the nature of the football coaching job. He is expected to build on the courageous home fans and sound home record the club habours every time that they play at Kakindu stadium.

It will therefore go without a saying; BUL will play with a spirited heart to avoid any possibility of a back to back loss scenario.

“It is good I am welcoming back a couple of injured players who had missed the previous two matches. We have prepared well and ready to fight for decent results at home,” Kisala told Kawowo Sports.

Kisala, working alongside his assistant Peter Onen will assemble a formidable side that could see former Sadolin Paints and Soana goalkeeper Muhammad Didi take up the slot of injured Hannington Ssebalunyo.

Right back Fred Agandu will start in place of injured Umar Mukobe.

Either Hassan Musana or Hakim Magombe could be preferred at the club’s left flank position.

The experienced defenders Yusuf Mukisa (Captain) and the rock solid defender Musa Walangalira will form the central defensive pairing.

They are expected to field a compacted midfield that has Abdul Mayanja, Martin Kivumbi, Yunus Sibira with the option of pacy James Otim on the right wing.

Up front, the home side is spoilt for choice with former skipper Patrick “Crespo” Asiku, Daniel Shabena, Mike Ndeera, Richard Wandyaka and the nomadic bowed legged Lawrence Ndugga.

Express is still nursing the wounds of that injury time winner from Okhuti due to a defensive lapse against Onduparaka.

Coach Douglas Bamwenyana will name more less the same team that played against Onduparaka.

There could only be alternations in attack where Steven Bengo could be replaced by a livelier Samuel Ggaliwango.

Michael Birungi, Daniel Sserunkuma will lead the quest for the much desired goals.

Young midfielder Davis Mayanja is expected to be maintained alongside skipper David Ndihabwe and the hard working Steven Luswata.

Bernard Agele, Sulaiman Jjingo and Ronnie Kisekka will command the backline while the tried, proven and tested Godwin Bbule will be maintained between the goal posts.

Express is currently 12th with 7 points off 6 matches.

Bul is second from bottom, having managed just 5 points in 6 games.
