Kampala Hockey Club Stallions return to league action on Saturday looking to reclaim the top position in the National Hockey League.

The Stallions led the table for the first part of the season, but since being dislodged by Wananchi last month, the side hasn’t gone top again.

With title rivals Wananchi out of action this weekend and with Weatherhead playing on Sunday, Bernard Bwire and his men have a chance to go top again.

They take on depleted Simba and this should be their realistic chance to reclaim the summit and end the third round on top of the log.

KHC are level on points [25] with Wananchi, that’s two ahead of Weatherhead who play bottom side Rockets on Sunday.

The season is nearing its closure and no team among the top three can afford to lose their remaining games.

KHC have never won a league title. This is the closest they’ve come. Bwire knows they can’t afford to blow this opportunity away therefore a win tomorrow is a must as their search for the title continues.
