Maroons can rise up to fifth in the Uganda Premier League with a home victory over Proline on Tuesday.
The two attacking teams meet at Luzira Prisons Grounds buoyed following victories in their previous league games.
The Prisons side edged Masavu 1-0 in Entebbe, with Solomon Walusimbi scoring the lone goal that separated the two sides while Proline thumped UPDF 4-2 at Lugogo Stadium.
Victory was Maroons’ second this term, but it was one that also came away from home. Maroons are still looking for a win at home this season. Asaph Mwebaze’s boys have entertained three league visitors this term, but have succeeded in downing none.
The 2016-17 Big League champions lost their first game at home this season and the other two ended in stalemates, the most recent being a 1-1 draw with SC Villa.
Maroons will hope tomorrow is their chance to secure that win, with Proline who have not won away from home this term presenting opposition.
Proline have turned Lugogo into a slaughter house, convincingly winning their last three games at home, but have found positive results on the road hard to come by.
Mujib Kasule’s charges have lost their last two games on the road, with their last outing ending 2-1 in favor of Kirinya-Jinja SSS at Bugembe Stadium.
Kasule’s men will hope to arrest that run on Tuesday, and they will have to do that without the help of Savio Kabugo. The defender was shown a red card against UPDF.
Proline sit seventh in the league with ten points. Victory tomorrow will propel them to the third position. However, a loss will see them drop to ninth if Bright Stars avoid defeat at Express.
Maroons on the other hand will ascend fifth with victory if Bright Stars don’t pick a win at Wankulukuku.
