Kirinya Jinja SSS return to Bugembe Stadium on Saturday looking to return to winning ways in the Uganda Premier League.
Charles Ayeikho’s boys lost to current table leaders Police last week, but that loss has done little to dampen their belief that this could be a special season for them.
Under Ayeikho who took over the reigns before the season kicked off two months ago, the school boys have relished a brilliant start to the campaign.

Three wins have been secured in the league, placing them sixth in the table standings. Only Police [5] and Onduparaka together with SC Villa [4] have won more games than the Jinja side this term.
Last term this time, Kirinya-Jinja SSS were struggling to post positive results, in fact the side had to wait till the second round to secure their first win in the Uganda Premier League. Credit to the new coach, the side is one of the admired teams this term.
They will be licking their lips at facing a manager-less Soana that currently occupies one of the dreaded positions in the league over the weekend.
Soana may have avoided defeat in their previous two games, but they are still seated in the relegation zone. The Kavumba side boasts of only one win that came against league debutants Masavu on match day two, and they are yet to win away from home.
Their display however, against Vipers last time out, showed they’re are not about to crumble. They rallied to draw 1-1 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. But if the hosts can match the energy they have displayed so far, Soana’s barren run on the road may continue.
Kirinya-Jinja SSS sit sixth in the league with 11 points. Victory tomorrow will propel them to the third position if Vipers [who play Masavu on Friday] and SC Villa who face URA on Saturday fail to collect three points.
Soana are 14th with a paltry six points.
