
Wanderers boosted their chances of winning the title after they defeated Jinja SS by 14 runs in a close encounter at Kyambogo.
Jinja SS won the toss and chose to field 1st Wanderers captain Janet Mbabazi led from the front scoring a patient 41 to help her side to a total of 132.

“The bowling worked for us. Consy Aweko as usual came up and did her job and it was amazing… the 3 bowlers that bowl a little quicker Anyipo Evelyn, Malemikia Patricia and Losike Dorothy came in and did a great job.
“We also took most of our our chances. Losike came in and delivered amazingly well when she was given both the ball and the bat, making her the game saver.”
Jinja SS dragged the game till the 40th over but failed to overhaul Wanderers total falling short by 14 runs.
Rita Musamali (27) tried to anchor the innings for Jinja SS but wickets fell around her with only Clare Mushakamba (28) giving her some support.
The win helps Wanderers pull away from the relegation places and puts them in a 4 way tie for the title with Olila High, Jinja SS and KICC.
