Milton Karisa couldn’t thank God, his teammates and the coaches enough after getting his first Uganda Cranes goal.

The Vipers forward salvaged a point for the Cranes with a leveller in Congo Brazzaville on his first start for Cranes proper as the team ended the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers with another away point.

“I feel good because it’s not easy to get that chance and also get on the score sheet,” he told reporters. “It’s not always easy, the pressure, different environment, my first game on the senior team,” he added.

I thank God since he made me calm. I was calm and thank my teammates because we played as a team and got the point as a team.

Karisa is arguably among the fastest rising youngsters on the team and was key as the Cranes qualified for the 2018 African Championships due in Morocco early next year.

The forward has so far netted four goals for club and country this season.
