Kutchi have carried their second round league form into the T20 league. They are unbeaten in the second half of the year and have won 11 games on the bounce with no losses.
Despite missing Ronak Patel and Raghvani Shantilal who scored the bulk of their runs in the league, Alpesh Hirani and his remaining troops have taken care of business so far.
They were victorious in Jinja last week, defeating both home sides JACC and Jinja SSS and this propelled them to the top of group A.
They will take on both Nile and Charity this weekend in Lugogo and if the heavens hold they will looking to picking up 2 more wins.
Nile has failed to win a game in the T20 league so far and its expected that Kutchi will get maximum points in this game.
However, Charity is a different prospect as they are pushing for a quarterfinal place they will be very tricky customers.
Charity is in second place but have played more games than their other rivals and will need to win to make sure they can remain in the knockout places.
They managed to defeat Nile last weekend but lost to a strong KICC and they cant any afford more hiccups.
Kutchi managed to defeat both sides in the league but the short version of the game suits Charity’s play style and Kutchi will need to be at their best to survive their youthful side.
Kutchi Tigers captain Alpesh Hirani is right to worry about the rain as games were cancelled in Lugogo last weekend due to a wet outfield.
This week we shall be playing with available players and try our best to win both games if weather doesn’t interrupt our games as its rainy season. ACC beat both teams we shall also try our best and win both games if all goes well.
Kutchi will be relying on run machines Ankit Patel and Nanji Phindoria to score the bulk of the runs with Nandi Kishore tasked with picking wickets.
