Skipper Nelson Senkatuka and his Bright Stars outfit remain the season revelation thus far in the Uganda Premier League.

Currently the league top scorer with 5 goals from 10 matches, Senkatuka continues to shine brightly as his team dominates.

On Saturday evening, Bright Stars makes the trip to Masaka ahead of the anticipated epic clash with the 16 time Uganda Premier League winners, Sports Club Villa Jogoo.

At stake is the battle for three points on a ground that the Jogoos have not lost since relocating from Kampala in 2016.

Coming from a 1-0 victory away to BUL on Wednesday, SC Villa Jogoo is confident of transferring the form into the Saturday affair.

“Consistency is all i keep emphasizing to my players if we are to win the league,” Wasswa Bbosa, head coach at SC Villa Jogoo reveals.

Strikers Alex ‘Benzema’ Kitata, George Senkaaba, Yubu Bogere will be joined by Abel Eturude, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Allan Kyambadde as the main actors as the Jogoos seek for the much needed maximum home points against a disciplined Bright Stars outfit that has experienced goalkeeper Hamza Muwonge between the goal posts.

It goes without saying, Senkatuka will spear head the Stars’ attack with supply assured from Methidious Jjungu, Brian Enzama, John Kokas Opejo and the fast improving left back Hakim ‘Kilu’ Ssekitto.

The visiting team faces another disciplined back line of Henry Katongole, Ibrahim Kiyemba, goalkeeper Samson Kirya, Joseph Nsubuga and team skipper Bernard Muwanga.

Nsubuga, Bogere and Muwanga shall be facing their former club if fielded.

There is a big anticipated battle in the middle of the pack when the tried and tested Jimmy ‘Kachanga’ Kakooza comes face to face with another season revelation, Nicholas Kasozi.

Bright Stars’ head coach, also the Uganda Cranes goalkeeping tactician Fred Kajoba further stresses the significance of this match.

“We are not under pressure. I have always told the players what to do and how to approach the match. We need this match like we have done for the other successful ones,” Kajoba says.

Bright Stars is currently third on the log with 16 points from 10 matches, a point adrift of leaders Police.

SC Villa Jogoo is also on 16 points, but with a less goal difference.

This game shall be handled by referee Muzamiru Tulu. Gilbert Ngyendo and Richard Mugerwa shall be the first and second assistant referees respectively.
