Three Ugandan referees will officiate at the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup tournament in Kenya.

The trio is constituted of Federation International Football Associations (FIFA) Referees.

Alex Muhabi (center referee) and two assistant referees Dick Okello and Ronald Katenya will represent Uganda at the two weeks tournament confirmed for Kisumu, Nakuru and Kakamega cities.

The referees are expected to arrive on Thursday, 29th November 2017.

The fitness tests and medical examinations will then follow on Friday 30th and the next day, 1st December 2017.

Council of East and Central Africa (CECAFA) Senior Challenge Cup record winners Uganda Cranes will lock horns with guest nation, Zimbabwe in the up coming tournament.

Uganda is in group B alongside Zimbabwe, Burundi, Ethiopia and South Sudan.

Hosts Kenya will face Rwanda, Tanzania and Zanzibar in the two weeks’ tourney.

The tournament kicks off on the 3rd December and will roll until 17th December 2017 in Kenya.

Kasarani and Machakos have been put on stand-by just in case the rest of the venues are not ready by kick off.
