Onduparaka’s goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato scored the lone goal as the Caterpillars edged visiting side Kirinya-Jinja SSS on Saturday.

The hosts, looking for the fifth win of the campaign, and looking to return to winning ways following their 2-1 loss at Bright Stars in midweek won a penalty in the 22nd minute after Viane Sekajugo was fouled inside the area.

Ssebwato known for his ability to convert penalties stepped up, and it was 1-0 for the West Nile side.

In a game that saw four Onduparaka players viz. Ezra Bida, Denis Andama, Rajab Kakooza and Sekajuko booked by referee Solomon Lusambya, Kirinya’s Joel Madondo was red carded.

The forward received his marching orders in the 82nd minute after being adjudged for diving. Earlier in the 68th minute he had been booked for elbowing.

The loss makes it four for Charles Ayeikho’s boys this term. With Maroons holding Vipers at Kitende, Kirinya-Jinja SSS slip a place down to eighth.

Onduparaka climb fourth with victory, and are a point behind Police who lead the table with 20 points.

Next up for the Caterpillars is a Tuesday visit to Masaka Recreation Ground where third placed SC Villa host their games from.

Kirinya-Jinja SSS will look to redeem themselves against bottom side UPDF at Bombo Barracks on the same day.
