There is a crunch week ahead for Uganda’s most successful football club, SC Villa Jogoo, winner of 16 league crowns.

This comes after successfully defeating Bright Stars 1-0 at the Masaka Recreational Stadium on Saturday. Striker George Senkaaba scored the lone strike on 69 minutes to dim Bright Stars who have had a stellar season thus far.

In a period of five days, Wasswa Bbosa’s led charges will host two epic games.

First, the Jogoos will entertain Arua side, Onduparaka on Tuesday before taking on old time rivals Express on Friday.

The team did not return to Kampala as they pitched camp at the Hot Ram Hotel in Masaka to concentrate on the upcoming fixtures.

“We decided to stay in Masaka so that we concentrate fully on the upcoming two matches against Onduparaka and Express,” Bbosa attests to Kawowo Sports.

The club managed to conduct a one and a half hour recovery session on Sunday morning.

Jogoo left back John Adriko is out of the two games with a nagging knee injury suffered in the Bright Stars’ game.

He thus joins the cinjury list at the club that also has Simon Sserunkuma.

The rest of the players are fully fit for the game against Onduparaka on Tuesday.

The technical team will thus discuss who takes over Adriko’s place. Either Farouk Musisi or Ibrahim Kiyemba could start at left back for SC Villa against Onduparaka.

Onduparaka traveled to Kampala on Sunday. They are expected to embark on the Masaka journey on Monday.

Both SC Villa Jogoo and Onduparaka have fetched 19 points, just like the reigning champions KCCA Football Club.

Police leads the 16 team log with 20 points.
