
Strikers needed 2 win both games against Damani and Kampala Pirates to stay in with a chance of making the quarterfinals but they failed to overcome Damani but salvaged some pride in defeating Pirates.

Kampala Pirates had been clinical in their morning win over Avengers beating them by 5 wickets but the trip to Buddo from Kyambogo must have taken a lot of wind out of them as they failed to match the strength of Strikers.
Pirates only managed 112/7 in their 20 overs with Strikers chasing down the total for a loss of 6 wickets. Rogers Olipa was the hero for Strikers putting in a man of match all round performance with bat and ball.
At Kyambogo in the morning, Kampala Pirates Captain Johan Kleinhans led from the front helping his Pirates team defeat Avengers by 6 wickets.
The damage was done by Nick Syman who picked 3 wickets in his 3rd over leaving Avengers reeling at 13/6, Allan Ssemakula (30) fought back for Avengers who could only manage 91.
The opening pair of Johan Kleinhans and Robin Turinawe knocked off half this total in an opening stand of 52 before Emmanuel Waigo finished off formalities with a big six to complete a 6 wicket win for Pirates.
The win for Damani puts them and Challengers in a league of their with only those 2 assured of quarterfinal places in Group A. Strikers, Pirates and Premier all have to wait for all group games to be completed to know their fate.
