Fred Amaku scored the winning goal as Kirinya Jinja SS returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win over UPDF FC at Bombo.

The former Paidha Angels striker scored in the 33rd minute in a fiercely contested game on Tuesday afternoon.

Both sides came into the game on the back of losses and badly needed a return to victorious ways.

Charles Ayiekoh’s men had narrowly and controversially lost to Onduparaka in Arua while Mbarara City pegged the army side at Kakyeeka.

It was an end to game decided by Amaku strike to move Kirinya seventh on the log with 17 points from eleven games while UPDF FC remain rooted at the base of the 16-team with six points.
