Muhammad Shaban brilliant start to his KCCA career continued as the forward struck twice as they beat visiting Vipers 3-1 at Lugogo on Tuesday.

Derrick Nsibambi scored the other goal for the Kasasiro while Yayo Lutimba scored the Venoms’ consolation goal on the day.

Shaban broke the deadlock as early as the seventh minute when he got the ball home after Paul Mucureezi knock down off Mustafa Kizza ball from a free kick.

The Venoms replied three minutes later from the spot through Yayo Lutimba after Taddeo Lwanga was brought down in the area by Timothy Awany.

It took ten minutes for the champions to regain the lead through Shaban who headed another Kizza cross into the net.

The second half saw Vipers ask all sorts of questions as they searched for the leveller but they were dealt a blow when Derrick Nsibambi who had replaced Shaban scored the third for the Kasasiro.

The goal came after James Alitho, who started ahead of Ismail Watenga tried to beat Allan Kateregga but lost possession and Nsibambi put the ball behind the empty net.

The loss, Vipers’ second in eleven league games leaves them 6th on the log with 17 points while KCCA are now second on the 16-team table with 22 points.
