Fred Kajoba admitted his side were luck to draw against struggling Masavu at Champions Stadium, Mwererwe on Tuesday.
An own goal from experienced defender Akram Kakembo put the visitors in the lead but Nelson Senkatuka who earlier missed a penalty salvaged a point for Bright Stars in the 90th minute.
“We are happy to get a draw,” said Kajoba. “We conceded a stupid goal and then our captain missed a penalty,” he added.
But our captain remained unmoved because he later scored a good goal from over 45 yards when we got a free kick late on.
Kajoba whose side has been solid home or away this campaign have now lost five of the available six points in succession but says they will build on a point when they visit Proline in their next league game.
We shall build on that and as we go to take on Proline next Tuesday at Lugogo.
Bright Stars are 5th on the log with 18 points with four wins, six draws and two defeats this campaign.
