Olila High have the advantage of being at home as they fight Wanderers for the title hoping that Tornado Bee or rain can do them a favour in Kampala.
Jinja SSS will be in unfamiliar territory in Kampala but their rivals for their title Olila High will be on their home turf in Jinja hoping they can snatch the title from Jinja*s grip.
Olila High only in their maiden season in the top flight after promotion from Div 2 last season have already managed to win the T20 title and if they if they can win and other results go their way they will be the 1st ladies team to win a season double.
They have gotten this far in the longer version of the game without any of their Kenyan players and that shows the depth of the squad. The performances of girls like Akiteng Sarah (left arm Spinner), Obukour Gloria (off spinner) and Illoku Esther (wicket keeper) have caught the eye of national coach Francis Ndege and have been selected on the provisional ladies team for the global qualifiers.
Wanderers are dejected after being unfairly treated in the walkover awarded to Pioneer but despite threats to forfeit the game in Jinja the team has allowed to play in the spirit of the game. Coach Sam Walusimbi will be hoping they can crush the party for Olila High with victory in Jinja.
Both teams have very strong bowling line ups and they have a similar style of play and the team that bats best will carry the day. Olila High will rely on African MVP Gertrude Chandiru, fellow national team players Rachel Ntono and team captain Joyce Mary Apio for the win.
Wanderers will be hoping their captain Janet Mbabazi is available from her soft ball training as she has carried her team in their 2 victories, she will need back up from Consy Aweko, Hope Wanichan and Gloria Adubu.
Olila High Team Manager is afraid of Wanderers not showing up
Depends on whether Wanderers and Tornado Bee will honor their fixtures .In case they do we will defiantly look at doing our best 2 win with a bonus point and that can best be achieved through fielding first, limiting them to the lowest possible score and chasing it as quickly as possible.
Olila High lies 2nd on the table, 2 points behind Jinja SSS and have a mathematical chance of overhauling that total. Olila High will need a big win to improve their net run rate and then hope against hope the game in Kampala between Jinja SSS and Tornado Bee is washed out.
