Resurgent Police FC aim to keep log leaders SC Villa in sight when they host Bul at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

The Cops lost log leadership on Friday following the Jogoos win over rivals Express and target victory over visiting Bul to keep pressure on Wasswa Bbosa’s side.

Douglas Kisembo, the Police goalkeeper is aware of the importance attached to the game and says the cops are focused on another win.

“It’s a very important game for us,” he said. “We need to go into the break in a decent position and if we win, it will give us belief that we can achieve our targets,” he added.

The 2005 champions, second on the log with 23 points, two adrift of the top will miss the services of Paul Willa and Basani Saafi through injuries as well as Albert Mugisa who is still doing his University Examinations.

But they have midfielder Rahmat Ssenfuka back after serving a one match ban for three accumulated bookings.

Meanwhile, Kefa Kisala’s Bul will hope to build on their impressive 1-0 win over Proline.

The Jinja based side who now lie 13th on the log with 12 points will rely on midfielder Yunus Sibira and striker Patrick Asiku for inspiration.

Bul won the corresponding fixture 1-0 at the same venue last season but they face a different opposition in a side that haven’t lost at home this season.
