Police midfielder Albert Mugisa, KCCA’s Allan Kateregga, Proline’s Daniel Isiagi, Mbarara City’s Methodious Bassey and Bright Stars’ Seif Batte are the new faces on the Uganda Cranes provisional squad for 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
The provisional team of 26 players has been named by head coach Moses Basena.

Saddam Ibrahim Juma makes a return to the team that starts preparations on Wednesday.
There are four goalkeepers named on the provisional list.
Isma Watenga (Vipers SC), Benjamin Ochan (KCCA), Nichoals Sebwato (Onduparaka FC) and Tom Ikara (Kirinya-Jinja SS) shall compete for the available three slots.
On form Vipers Milton Karisa, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Allan Kyambadde, Hood Kaweesa, Derrick Nsibambi and Bright Stars’ skipper Nelson Senkatuka are some of the other players on the team.

The team will be trimmed to 23 players who will travel on Saturday.
Only one foreign based player has been named on the team. Simba defender Murushid Jjuuko, a member of the Uganda Cranes team at the AFCON 2017 in Gabon is the only foreign based player.

The regional tourney kicks off on 3rd December and will run through to 17th December, 2017 in Kenya at three venues – Nakuru, Kakamega and Machakos.
