The battle for placement positions was won by Pioneer who defeated KICC by 3 wickets. KICC was in 3rd position before the game but Pioneer managed to sneak into 3rd place with the win.
Former winners Pioneer were in danger of being relegated after they lost their first 2 games but they found form when it mattered most winning all their last 3 games.
The addition of Justine Musubika added some needed experience to the side that has missed its captain Barbara Mukankusi due to maternity leave.
Justine ripped through the KICC batting lining up picking up 4/25 in 10 overs with support from Lynette Nakato (3/20).
Prico Nakitende (39) and Makerere University Vice Guild President Lakisa Mercy (28) knocked off the deficit for Pioneer helping them to a 3 wicket victory.
The victory helped Pioneer leapfrog KICC into 3rd with KICC finishing 4th ahead of Wanderers.
With Mukankusi back to full fitness next season Pioneer will be a handful for many teams.
