Wanderers finally got off the mark over the weekend defeating Avengers by 6 wickets but they folded by 5 runs to Premier in the afternoon.
Wanderers had lost 4 of its last T20 games, the suspension of SKLPS and the withdrawal of Mwiri Cricket Club meant that Wanderers cant make the quarterfinals of the league.
The weekend games were more a formality and after Premier had its game washed out with Strikers in the morning both games become just auditions.
Avengers never got going in their batting with Wanderers picking up wickets in shifts with Tembo Zubair (3/15) with best bowling figures.
Wanderers was out of the books quickly trying to chase the score quickly Captain Denis Musali (41) led from the front before Rasheed Mukasa knocked off the winning runs.
Premier set 102 in the afternoon just one run more than Avengers but this time Wanderers couldn’t pace their chase properly falling short of the target by 5 runs.
Unfortunately the win for Premier not enough to team through to the knock out stages and will wait on weather they can get some fortune from Kampala Pirates misfortunes.
Wanderers will face defending champions Challengers in their final game of the season on 3rd December.
