Fred Kajoba blamed Bright Stars’ 2-0 loss to his players trying to play in the same style as Proline yet they are not as ‘talented’.

A double from Fahad Bayo inside ten minutes sank the Stars at Lugogo in a game the visitors didn’t apply their known ‘defensive’ strategy.

“We lost because my players wanted to play like Proline,” he said. “They tried it and we were 2-0 down inside ten minutes which is uncharacteristic of us,” he added.

“I tell them always to compare themselves to players at Proline, Vipers or KCCA and if they see no difference, then they can play like them.

Asked what as a coach now adopts, the national team goalkeeping tactician said.

“You choose to play a style depending on the kind of players you have. If you don’t have ball players, why play like you do. My players know that our game is defensive and then counter attack.

Kajoba is known for his no mincing words attitude and has always sent press men into laughter and it was no different at Lugogo on Tuesday.
