- Onduparaka 2-1 UPDF

Eighteen year old forward Ezra Bidda scored his first goal in the debut Uganda Premier League season during Onduparaka’s 2-1 home victory against UPDF at the Green Light in Arua on Tuesday.
The Caterpillars stretched their impressive unbeaten home run to 21 games since being promoted to the top flight division in the 2016/17 season.
Steven Bogere’s coached UPDF took a surprise lead against the run of play through Mustafa Dongo in the 37th minute.
It required Bidda and the rest of his teammates to react swiftly with the equalizer coming 5 minutes from the mandatory half time break.
Bidda, a former U-17 Uganda Cubs player scored the all important leveler.
As the second stanza of the game returned, striker Karim Ndugwa, a much traveled forward who has previously featured for SC Villa Jogoo, Lweza, Sadolin Paints, AFC Leopards (Kenya) got the second.
Ndugwa’s goal was eventually confirmed by the day’s referee, Ali Sabilla Chelengat.
Alex Gasper Adriko (Onduparaka) as well as the UPDF duo of Joseph Othieno and Denis Sekitoleko were cautioned for unsporting conduct.
Onduparaka thus attained their 6th victory of the season in 13 matches.
This pushes Leo Adraa and Charles Livingstone Mbabazi’s led team to 5th on the 16 team log with 22 points.
For bottom placed UPDF, it was their 9th loss of the campaign, the most defeats in the league after Express and Masavu’s 8.
UPDF has just managed 6 points in 13 matches.

With the forthcoming CECAFA and COSAFA U-20 tournaments coming up, the domestic league is taking a two weeks’ break.
When it does eventually return on the 19th December 2017, Onduparaka visits Masavu at the Fisheries Training Institute in Bugonga, Entebbe.
On the other hand, UPDF will make the short trip across town to face Maroons at the Prisons Stadium in Luzira in the derby battle of peace keeping forces.
