Vipers SC have refuted reports that they have parted ways with Portuguese coach Jorge Miguel Duarte Da Costa.

Rumour doing the round is that management were infuriated by the 2-1 loss at home to URA and that they have opted to relieve the Portuguese his duties.

However, in a club statement signed released by Abdu Wasike, the Venoms Head of Communications, they refute such allegations.

“The rumour making rounds about status of the Vipers SC Coach (Miguel Da Costa) should be treated as such rumours………,” read part of the statement.

“And there has not been any change of management yet at the club,” it went on.

Vipers as a professional club shall let you know of any developments through its official medium in any event but there is no need for alarm.

The club is still focused on its mission of winning accolades in the local competitions it’s engaged in and that’s our priority for now.

Vipers were tipped by many as strong favourites to win the league title this season but are eight points off the pace and lie 5th on the 16-team log.

They have won 5, drawn as many and lost three of the 13 games played so far in the league.
