Following his Uganda Cranes debut against Burundi, Taddeo Lwanga targets more caps with the national team.

The midfielder featured for 56 minutes at Bukhungu stadium, Kakamega as Uganda Cranes began their CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup defence with a barren stalemate.

He couldn’t hide his excitement after being overlooked often but the target remains to keep the place on the team.

“Waited this for a long time and it has come to pass finally,” an excited Lwanga told Kawowo Sports. “It has been hard work from day one; it’s really a great feeling,” he added.

The target is now to be a regular on the team

The Vipers SC midfielder started in front of the back four before he was replaced with striker Nelson Senkatuka as Moses Basena went for more attackers.

Alongside Hood Kaweesa and Allan Kateregga, Lwanga was one of the debutants on the day.
